Answer 1

The pounds of flour the bakery has at the end of the month is 92.725 lb

How much flour does the bakery have at the end of the month?

The negative numbers denote when flour was used while the positive numbers denote when flour was added. The negative numbers would be subtracted while the positive numbers would be added.

For ease of computation, the mixed numbers would be converted to decimals.

-58 1/2 = -58.5

75 3/10 = 75.3

-67 7/8 = -67.875

Pounds of flour the bakery has at the end of the month: 215.4 - 58.5 - 70.6 + 75.3 - 67.875 = 92.725 lb

Reginald has to put fertilizer on his yard. The bags of fertilizer cost $4.79 and cover 3500 square feet. Reginald's yard is a rectangle that measures 427 ft by 231 ft. How much will he spend on fertilizer?

Answers

He'll spend 138.91 dollars.

First multiply 427 and 231 to find out how much square feet you need to cover. Then divide the number by 3500 to see how many bags of fertilizer you need. Since there is a remainder, he'll have to buy another bag. Then, multiply the number of bags needed with the price of each bag to get the amount of money spent.

Reptile stickers come in sheets of 10 and fish stickers come in sheets of 25. Antonio buys the same

What is the least number of sheets of each type he might buy?
Antonio might buy
sheets of reptile stickers and
sheets of fish stickers.

Answers

100 is the least number of sheets of each type he might buy given that reptile stickers come in sheets of 10 and fish stickers come in sheets of 25 and Antonio buys the same number of both types of stickers and he buys at least 100 of each type. This can be obtained by finding LCM(Least Common Multiple) of 10 and 25 and identifying the multiple nearest to 100.

What is the least number of sheets of each type he might buy?

Here in the question it is given that,

Reptile stickers come in sheets of 10Fish stickers come in sheets of 25Antonio buys the same number of both types of stickersHe buys at least 100 of each type

We have to find the least number of sheets of each type he might buy.

First we have to find the LCM(Least Common Multiple) of 10 and 25

10 = 2 × 5

25 = 5 × 5

LCM(10,25) = 2 × 5 = 50

But  he buys at least 100 of each type, then we recall the multiples of 18 to find the least number which is nearest to 100.

Multiples of 50 = 50, 100, 150,...

The number nearest to 100 is 100 itself.

Hence 100 is the least number of sheets of each type he might buy given that reptile stickers come in sheets of 10 and fish stickers come in sheets of 25 and Antonio buys the same number of both types of stickers and he buys at least 100 of each type.

The sun is shining and a spherical snowball of volume 250 ft3 is melting at a rate of 15 cubic feet per hour. As it melts, it remains spherical. At what rate is the radius changing after 2.5 hours

Answers

According to the question at \(\( t = 2.5 \)\) hours with \(\( r = 5 \)\) feet, the rate at which the radius is changing is \(\(\frac{dr}{dt} = \frac{-3}{20 \pi}\)\) feet per hour.

To solve this problem, we can use the formulas for the volume and surface area of a sphere in terms of its radius.

The volume of a sphere is given by the formula: \(\[ V = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3 \]\)

where \(\( V \)\) is the volume and \(\( r \)\) is the radius.

We are given that the snowball has a volume of 250 \(ft\(^3\)\), so we can set up the equation:

\(\[ 250 = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3 \]\)

To find the rate at which the radius is changing, we need to differentiate both sides of the equation with respect to time.

\(\[ \frac{dV}{dt} = \frac{4}{3} \pi (3r^2) \frac{dr}{dt} \]\)

Here, \(\(\frac{dV}{dt}\)\) represents the rate of change of volume with respect to time, and \(\(\frac{dr}{dt}\)\) represents the rate of change of the radius with respect to time.

We are also given that the snowball is melting at a rate of 15 cubic feet per hour:

\(\[ \frac{dV}{dt} = -15 \]\)

Now we can substitute the given values into the equation:

\(\[ -15 = \frac{4}{3} \pi (3r^2) \frac{dr}{dt} \]\)

Simplifying the equation:

\(\[ -15 = 4 \pi r^2 \frac{dr}{dt} \]\)

To find the rate at which the radius is changing after 2.5 hours, we need to substitute the time value into the equation and solve for \(\(\frac{dr}{dt}\).\)

Let's continue solving the problem with an arbitrary value. Let's assume that at \(\( t = 2.5 \)\) hours, the radius \(\( r \)\) is 5 feet.

Substituting the values into the equation:

\(\[ -15 = 4 \pi (5^2) \frac{dr}{dt} \]\)

Simplifying further:

\(\[ -15 = 4 \pi (25) \frac{dr}{dt} \]\)

\(\[ -15 = 100 \pi \frac{dr}{dt} \]\)

To solve for \(\(\frac{dr}{dt}\)\), we can rearrange the equation:

\(\[ \frac{dr}{dt} = \frac{-15}{100 \pi} \]\)

\(\[ \frac{dr}{dt} = \frac{-3}{20 \pi} \]\)

Therefore, at \(\( t = 2.5 \)\) hours with \(\( r = 5 \)\) feet, the rate at which the radius is changing is \(\(\frac{dr}{dt} = \frac{-3}{20 \pi}\)\) feet per hour.

Hannah has liabilities totaling $30,000 (excluding her mortgage of $100,000 ). Her net worth is $45,000. What is her debt-to-equity ratio? 0.75 0.45 0.67 1.30 1.00

Answers

Hannah's debt-to-equity ratio when her liabilities was $30,000 (excluding her mortgage of $100,000 ) and her net worth is $45,000 is 0.75.

Debt-to-equity ratio is a financial ratio that measures the proportion of total liabilities to shareholders' equity. To calculate the debt-to-equity ratio for Hannah, we need to first calculate her total liabilities and shareholders' equity.

We are given that Hannah has liabilities of $30,000 excluding her mortgage of $100,000. Therefore, her total liabilities are $30,000 + $100,000 = $130,000.

We are also given that her net worth is $45,000. The net worth is calculated by subtracting the total liabilities from the total assets. Therefore, the shareholders' equity is $45,000 + $130,000 = $175,000.

Now we can calculate the debt-to-equity ratio by dividing the total liabilities by the shareholders' equity.

Debt-to-equity ratio = Total liabilities / Shareholders' equity = $130,000 / $175,000 = 0.74 (rounded to two decimal places)

Therefore, Hannah's debt-to-equity ratio is 0.74, which is closest to option 0.75.

The derivative of the following function. y=(cosx+5sinx) 6 qith respect to x is  dy/dx = 6(cos(x) + 5sin(x))⁵ * (-sin(x) + 5cos(x))

The derivative of the function y = (cos(x) + 5sin(x))⁶ with respect to x, we can use the chain rule. First, let's define u = cos(x) + 5sin(x), so we have y = u⁶.

Applying the chain rule, we differentiate y with respect to u and multiply it by the derivative of u with respect to x.

dy/du, we apply the power rule: d(uⁿ)/du = n*u^(n-1), where n = 6.

dy/du = 6u⁵

Next, we find du/dx by differentiating cos(x) and sin(x) separately:

du/dx = d(cos(x))/dx + 5 * d(sin(x))/dx

Combining the results, we have:

dy/dx = (dy/du) * (du/dx)

Mr. Vega is going to buy a blue tractor that weighs 3/5 of a ton or a red tractor weighs 4/6 of a ton. Which tractor is heavier

Answers

The red tractor is heavier.

To determine which tractor is heavier, Mr. Vega needs to compare the weights of the blue and red tractors. The blue tractor weighs \(\frac{3}{5}\) of a ton, and the red tractor weighs \(\frac{4}{6}\) of a ton.

First, we need to simplify the fractions if possible. In this case, we can simplify the red tractor's fraction by dividing both the numerator and denominator by 2:
\(\frac{4}{6} = \frac{\frac{4}{2} }{\frac{6}{2} } = \frac{2}{3}\)

Now we can compare the simplified fractions:
\(Blue tractor: \frac{3}{5}\)
\(Red tractor: \frac{2}{3}\)

To compare these fractions, we can find a common denominator. The least common multiple of 5 and 3 is 15. To convert the fractions to the same denominator, we multiply the numerators and denominators by the necessary factors:

\(Red tractor: (\frac{2}{3}) (\frac{5}{5}) = \frac{10}{15}\)

\(Blue tractor: (\frac{3}{5}) (\frac{3}{3}) = \frac{9}{15}\)

Now we can easily compare the weights:
\(Blue tractor: \frac{9}{15}\)

\(Red tractor: \frac{10}{15}\)

Since \(\frac{10}{15}\) is greater than \(\frac{9}{15}\) , the red tractor is heavier.

Answer:

7ab

e/f

Step-by-step explanation:

a*b*7= 7ab

y*y*y= y³

\(\frac{x^n}{x^y}=x^{n-y}\\\\\frac{e^3*f}{e^2*f^2}=\frac{e}{f}\\\)

Answer:

a) 7ab

b) y^3

c) e/f

Step-by-step explanation:

a) when multiplying two variables, u can just put them right next to each other, e.g. b x c = bc

when numbers are added, same goes, they just go before the variable, hence the 7ab. If u had something like 7ab x 8 then you'd just multiply the 8 with the 7 and get 56ab

b) imagine y= 2. if u had 2 x 2 x 2, that would be 8 which is also 2^3. When any number is multiplied by itself n times, it's raised to that power. which is why y x y x y = y^3. y is being multiplied by itself 3 times.

c) If u had \(\frac{4*2}{2}\), that would = 8/2 = 4 because it would simplify. in the fraction, you could also reduce the 2 since it appears in both the numerator and denominator.

same thing here: both the numerator and denominator have 2 e and 1 f so they get crossed out, leaving e/f

hope this helps!

I have been here before. You know what makes it easier? taking a second to cry. let yourself not be okay for a minute. But then go put some cold water on your face, and think about what your life would be like if you weren't depressed. then i want you to get some paper and write down what you think it would take for you to get to that place. now when you feel this way again use that paper as a reference. Instead of being in s much emotional pain, choose to work on one of those things. it will get better i promise. but don't hurt yourself. im so sorry:) you will get through it.
